Game sound
Quieter explosions, clearer footsteps and voices.
Needs access In 2.0Available in 2.0. Install it from the Extensions tab.
An equalizer on the game’s sound while you play. It changes what you hear and nothing in the game.
It attaches to the game’s sound when a session starts and lets go when it ends. Nothing on the phone stays changed.
Try it
The presets’ real band values, in dB. A limiter always sits after them, so a boost can’t clip.
Highlights
Five bands
Rumble, low mids, mids, presence and air.
Presets to start from
Footsteps, Voices, Less boom, or Custom. A starting point, not a measurement of any game.
Quiet sounds lifted
An optional compressor brings quiet sounds closer to loud ones.
Never clips
A limiter is always on, so a boost can’t distort.
Hear it first
“Try on what’s playing now” puts it on your music before a game.
Set it up
- Set up privileged access once. Android doesn’t tell an app which sound belongs to which app, the shell does.
- Install Game sound from the Extensions tab.
- Pick a preset, try it on what’s playing now, and turn it on for your games.
- Start a game from Game Mode. The effect follows the game’s sound until you leave.
Using it
Footsteps
Lowers the rumble, lifts presence, where steps and reloads sit. Use headphones: phone speakers barely play the lowest band.
What it needs
| Permission or access | Why |
|---|---|
| Privileged access | To find the sound streams that belong to the game. |
Limits
- The effect lives in the app. If the app is closed, the game’s sound goes back to normal.
Questions
Does it change the game?
No. It changes the sound after the game made it, on your phone, for you.
